A team of officials from the USCN China Branch visited five of the most important museums in the United States, exploring opportunities for Chinese outstanding artists to be known beyond China's borders. During their stay, they visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and discussed with Maxwell Hearn, the director of the Asian Department, possibilities of collaboration with the MET. They also visited the National Gallery, Smithsonian Institute and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Arts.
